From June 1-June 30, 2021 whenever you use your Atlantic debit card, and make a qualified purchase, Atlantic Federal Credit Union will donate 2 cents to the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. Atlantic pledges to make a maximum donation of up to $20,000.
What is a qualified purchased?
A qualified purchase is any purchase made with an Atlantic Debit Card that posts and clears to the checking account.
Does the money being donated come from customers’ accounts?
No. The 2-cent donation, for every qualified purchase is made by Atlantic Federal Credit Union.
What is the Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine?
The Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger is a 501(c)(3), which means all contributions are tax-deductible! 2020 marks the 30th year of the Campaign. The Campaign is the signature social responsibility campaign for Maine’s credit unions. 100% of all funds raised through the Campaign stay in in the state. The initiative is the largest, non-hunger organization-based, philanthropic fundraising effort to end hunger in Maine. In 2020 Atlantic donated and raised more than $88,000 to support the Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine. The monies raised supported 18 community food pantries in our local communities.
