Supported Organizations 2023

Overall, Atlantic donated more than $211,000 to over eighty community organizations. Some of these organizations include Habitat for Humanity York County/7 Rivers Maine, Junior Achievement of Maine, Winter Kids, Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine, Travis Mills Foundation, The Center for Grieving Children, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine, Biddeford Education Foundation, and the Elder Abuse Institute of Maine.

Atlantic's Ending Hunger Campaign 2023

Throughout the year, Atlantic donated and raised more than $147,000 to support the Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine. Donations were made to benefit local hunger organizations such as the the Tedford Shelter, Cumberland Food Pantry, Freeport Community Center, Sanford Food Pantry, York Community Services, Waterboro Community Pantry, Old Orchard Community Pantry, North Berwick Food Pantry, Buxton Community Service Corporation, York County Shelter Programs, Hollis Center Baptist Food Pantry, Saco Food Pantry, Footprints Food Pantry, Midcoast Hunger, Biddeford Food Pantry, Bon Appetite Community Meal Program, Westbrook Food Pantry, Pantry of Greater Portland Vineyard Church, Saco Meals Program, Sanford Backpack Program, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank.

Maine Credit Unions' Ending Hunger Facts 2023

Maine credit unions contributed $1,221,868.94 to end hunger in 2023 and supported 280 organizations across Maine, including local food pantries, meal sites, and schools. Since 1990, the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger has raised over $13.5 million to help end hunger in Maine.

Financial Education in the Schools

Atlantic Federal Credit Union is a big believer in education and financial education. We want everyone in our community to do better. Atlantic staff visits local schools to help teach students the keys to financial fitness.
