  3. $25.00 to fund your new Savings Account via Credit Card, Debit Card, transfer from another Financial Institution or transfer from an existing Atlantic account

2020 Supported Organizations

Overall, Atlantic donated more than $200,000 to seventy community organizations. Some of these organizations include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid Maine, Sexual Assault Support Services of Mid Coast Maine, People Plus, American Red Cross, United Way, York County Community College, Sanford YMCA, York Ambulance, and York County Shelter.

Atlantic's Ending Hunger (2020) Campaign

In the spring of 2020, Atlantic answered the Good Shepard Food Bank call and donated $50,000 to help provide food to people in need. Throughout the year, Atlantic donated and raised more than $88,000 to support the Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine. Donations were made to benefit local hunger organizations such as the Biddeford Food Pantry, Bon Appetite Community Meal Program, Buxton Community Service Corporation, Cumberland Food Pantry, Freeport Community Center, Footprints Food Pantry, Hollis Center Baptist Food Pantry, Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program, North Berwick Food Pantry, Old Orchard Community Pantry, Saco Food Pantry, Sanford Food Pantry, Tedford Shelter, Waterboro Community Pantry, York Community Services, and York County Shelter Programs.

Maine Credit Unions' Ending Hunger Facts (2020)

The official, record-breaking total for 2020 was $960,021, a new fundraising milestone. Since 1990, the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger has raised over $10.4 million to help end hunger in Maine. For the 2020 Campaign, 100% of the state's credit unions participated in fundraising efforts.

Financial Education in the Schools

Atlantic Federal Credit Union is a big believer in education and financial education. We want everyone in our community to do better. Atlantic staff visits local schools to help teach students the keys to financial fitness.
