How does Swipe Out to End Hunger Work?
Use your Atlantic debit card and make a qualified purchase from June 1 - June 30, 2025. When Atlantic members, combined, reach one million swipes Atlantic will donate $30,000 to the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.
What is a qualified purchase?
A qualified purchase is any purchase made with an Atlantic Debit Card that posts and clears to the checking account.
Does the money being donated come from customers’ accounts?
No. Atlantic Federal Credit Union is making the donation.
What is the Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine?
The Campaign is the signature social responsibility campaign for Maine’s credit unions. 100% of all funds raised through the Campaign stay in the state. The initiative is the largest, non-hunger organization-based, philanthropic fundraising effort to end hunger in Maine. In 2024 Atlantic donated and raised more than $156,831 to support the Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine. The monies raised supported 21 community food pantries in our local communities.
